Coronavirus: Sri Lanka closed its border for UK visitors
Coronavirus – Sri Lanka has sealed its border for all tourists arriving from the UK, with England fans greatly impressed, who were planning to visit the country despite a two-match series postponement.

However, UK citizens, or those who have to travel to Sri Lanka through the UK, will not be permitted to travel to Sri Lanka after midnight, according to local time on Monday.

“One of our members, who had been at Colombo airport for some hours, was now permitted entry and has informed the Barmy Army that there will be no more flights from the UK,” said Chris Millard, managing director of the Barmy Army.
“We know that more than fifty of our members are currently in Sri Lanka and some more have visited over the weekend. 20 members in our official travel program still needed to go on a holiday trip, even cricket canceled, but their flights are now canceled.
“We are having open conversations with Sri Lanka cricket, tour operators and airlines to help our members get back home safely. If anyone is out there and wants to talk to us, feel free to contact us.
